General Info
Here are some of our most frequently asked questions…
Q: How do I need to supply my file?
A: As a print ready pdf (minimum 300dpi) containing however many pages are in the document with 3mm bleed all round. Unless its variable data in which case you will need to supply the working files. The total ink coverage of all 4 colours when added together should not exceed 300%.
You can email your file to us if its under 10MB, or download it to drop box and send us a link. Some people prefer to bring it in on a pen drive, and we always welcome anyone who would like to come and check out our samples or chat through paper stocks.
Q: What is bleed?
A: You need to add this to any document you are going to send to print. Its the bit that gets trimmed off after print so that there is no white edge around the final printed product.
Q: Do I get a proof?
A: A proof is always recommended. A PDF proof usually suffices for smaller Digital runs.
Q: How do I get a quote?
A: Simply send us an email with:
1. the quantity of finished products required and the number of pages
2. Paper stock – type and weight
3. How many colours in the job i.e. 4 process colours, 1 /2 or 3 spot colours,
4. Single or double sided
5. Finished size i.e., A3, A4, DL
6. How you would like the job finished i.e., folded, creased, stapled, laminated, how it is to be bound.
Q: What is your turnaround time?
A: Generally speaking our turnaround time for a Digitally printed job can vary from same day to three days. If you have a tight deadline we can usually accommodate most jobs. Offset jobs take longer to dry but you should probably allow for a 7 day turnaround depending on our workload.
